Kenya Electricity Generating Company has announced that it holds 89 copyrights, 3 patents, 12 trademarks and 3 utility models.
Through their social media pages, KenGen celebrated the World Creativity and Innovation Day by affirming the role the day plays.
“We join the rest of the world in marking World Creativity and Innovation Day. This day is observed to raise awareness about the role of innovation and creativity in each aspect of human development”, KenGen wrote.
“KenGen continues to make deliberate efforts to foster innovation within the organisation through programs such as the Annual Global Innovation Seminar, Ignite Fridays and Community of Practice & Innovation (COPI). Currently, KenGen has registered 89 copyrights, 12 trademarks, three patents and three utility models with Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI).
The company further revealed that it is in the process of registering more intellectual properties.
“In addition to the already registered Intellectual Properties (IPs), KenGen submitted 67 copyrights, 37 patents and 12 trademarks to KIPI for registration”, KenGen wrote.
