In his address outside the State House on Tuesday, May 21, Uhuru said the 52-seater bus was an encouragement to the little girls to take their studies seriously and go on to produce better results in 2019 national exams.

He reminded the learners of the virtue of patience and always being diligent in their day to day activities adding there was need to focus in both academic and non-academic work.

“ This is really to encourage you that as you go along with your studies, you need also to do the best. With this support it would be equally rewarding for us to see good results at the end of the year from you. You have a long way to go. Let us not be in a rush,” he noted.

Besides the bus, the Head of State also donated indigenous seedlings to the Murang’a school and challenged students to always be mindful and sensitive to their environment.

In 2016, several students from various schools across the country went home riding in new machines donated to them by Uhuru.

Some of the lucky schools included St Mary’s Sosio Girls in Bungoma, Elburgon Secondary School in Molo, Chilchilla Secondary School in Kepkelion, and Uhuru Kenyatta High School Kabiyet in Eldama Ravine.
