Victoria Rubadiri, who has over the years become a household name, has finally opened up on the pains and fears she encountered as a young mother.

The single mum said she got pregnant at 18-years old throwing her into complete disbelief and confusion.

Through a long Instagram message, she said she was not sure how she was going to tackle the journey ahead of her.

Apparently, Victoria was a wreck through it all and she felt like she was not ready to take the motherhood mantle.

“You see this picture? You were a week old, I was 18 and scared out of my wits. You were perfection, I was a wreck. I fought for a long time with embracing the identity of being a mother because I felt I was not ready,” she penned a message to her daughter.

However, with time, the TV presenter adapted the role and grew into a capable caregiver and nurturing mother.

“Truth is, you are never going to be ready! I learned that with time as you grew and became a different human being at every stage. I grew with you, made my mistakes but pushed forward. You healed me with your unconditional love,” Victoria continued.

In 2015, Victoria revealed she had contemplated procuring an abortion when she learned she was pregnant.

Her caring dad, however, stopped her from making that decision and encouraged her to carry the baby to full term.

The single mum and a pastor’s daughter also parted ways with her baby daddy but has learnt to let bygones be bygones as her daughter and ex-lover now relate cordially.
