Tuskys Supermarket has began sending staff home on a two-week unpaid leave, according to emails seen by Kenyanbusinessfeed.com.
“TML and Outsourced staff to be now subjected to a mandatory 12 days unpaid leave effective this month July 2020”, a email said in part.
Tuskys has over the past few months been struggling to pay suppliers over Sh1 billion in supplied goods and services. The Government in late June said that it had put the ailing retailer under watch.
Tuskys was also ordered to pay suppliers by mid this month.
