– He further asked the deputy president to come out clean and explain to the public where money for the dam project went and who loots public funds

Days after partying ways with the Deputy President William Ruto, vocal Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Richard Momaima Onyonka has now turned his verbal guns to Ruto.

Onyonka, who has been the Tanga Tanga Movement Chairman in Kisii County, said his supporters were against any political dalliance with the deputy president.

Speaking at a funeral in Kisii on Saturday, May 25, where he accompanied ODM partly leader Raila Odinga, Onyonka asked Ruto to stop abusing Raila for he is not his equal.

“Listen, I want to categorically tell Ruto that Raila is not your equal. Stop abusing Raila in your public functions,” said Onyonka.

“You cannot abuse Raila from Morning to evening. Kenyans are tired with your political hatred. I want this message to reach you very clearly,” he added.

The MP who has been Ruto’s ally revealed that he has been secretly spying on him to study his political tactics while claiming it was a political liability to be allied to the DP.

He has now officially joined ODM camp once again.

“Am not stupid my friend. I tried friendship with Ruto and realised he has no vision. I have been spying on him and now am with Baba,” said Onyonka.

The legislator further asked the deputy president to come out clean and explain to the public where money for the dam project went and who loots public funds.

“Tell us how you can fight corruption, tell us where the money which was meant for dams is, tell us where you take what you are stealing before you come here to address us,” said Onyonka.

Onyonka claimed that Raila is a respected man who was tortured and jailed by the colonists for the freedom Kenyans are enjoying today.

“Raila is an elder who was brutalised and jailed for Kenya to have freedom. Kenya is what it is because of him,” he said.

“Ruto is my agemate and should cease from abusing Raila. They steal and divide among themselves, then they come to church and lie to christians,” added Onyonka.

The MP has already announced quitting Parliament in 2022 to join the Kisii gubernatorial race where he is hopping to succeed the current retiring Kisii governor James Ongwae.
