Kenya Airways (KQ) will on Thursday 26th August unveil its half year results for the period 1st January 2021 and 30th June 2021.
“Kenya Airways invites you to a virtual Investor Briefing on 26th August 2021 from 2 pm to release the half year results for the period 1st January 2021 – 30th June 2021,” the company said in a statement.
In March 2021, the struggling airline reported the biggest ever loss for the financial year ended 30th December 2020.
The loss which stood at over Sh36 billion was blamed on Covid-19 disruptions.
“The Covid-19 global outbreak in 2020 was beyond anyone’s prediction and its impact on the industry is expected to continue affecting air travel demand for the next two to three years,” KQ Board chair Mr Michael Joseph said in March.
KQ had reacted to the Covid-19 hardships through layoffs and massive salary cuts to reduce the pressure on the bottom-line.
The losses deal a big blow to the airline’s recovery efforts.
Tomorrow’s briefing will be done virtually and investors will receive a link to join the session in their emails.
