A few hours after being selected to fly the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition flag in the gubernatorial contest, Polycarp Igathe was rejected.
Going by the tweets by influential people on Twitter, Igathe doesn’t fit the bill.
Igathe who deputized Mike Sonko in the 2017 General elections resigned mid-term accusing Sonko of not considering him for duties.
Sonko would be impeached and removed a few years later.
The corporate job-hopper would go on to become one of the most talked-about personalities in Kenya’s job scene.

Before Igathe came into the race, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, KNCCI President Richard Ngatia and Anne Kagure were the frontrunners in the Azimio One Kenya alliance aspirants for the Nairobi Governor seat.
Jubilee Party had somehow rejected Ms Kagure and Ngatia on academic grounds.
Tim Wanyonyi was a favourite; a darling of the social media influencers.
It is therefore expected that Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) behaved the way they did with the entry of Polycarp Igathe. Rejected
As the mainstream media reported, Igathe is a product of statehouse boardroom politics.
