UASU elections have been postponed by two weeks.
This comes after the University of Nairobi recently held their elections.
Lecturers across the country have been lobbying for the elections which were to be held today.
The elections were to be held in Nakuru after they were moved from the Tom Mboya Labour College due to the covid-19 surge in the Nyanza and western region.
Speaking to Kenyan Business Feed Onesmus Mutio who is the Acting Organizing secretary for UASU has said the court gave an order to postpone the elections by 14 days and therefore the elections will be held on 5th July.
“today our elections which were scheduled to take place in Nakuru County have been postponed for 14 days by the Court. And so our national elections will be held on 5th next month. This has been because of the elections held at the university of Nairobi last week Friday. Those vying for the national sits asked for some time to meet the delegate,” said Onesmus.
