The County Government of Meru led by Governor Kiraitu Murungi has continued to beef up preparedness efforts to keep away COVID-19 Pandemic from the County.
The County Deputy Governor Hon. Titus Ntuchiu today led the Government on behalf of the Governor, in receiving a consignment of items aimed at boosting the fight against the global pandemic.
“Today we have received 1000 complete PPE Kits, 45,000 surgical masks and 1000 hand sanitizer bottles from KEMSA. This adds to the consignments we have procured from the Authority, at a total cost of Sh28 million, in order to equip our medical personnel as we prepare against this disease,” said the DG.
While delivering the consignment, KEMSA National Transport Coordinator Dick Mwiti said the authority has been glad to work with Governor Kiraitu’s administration to combat the disease.
