Central Bank of Kenya has got a new second deputy Governor after the National Assembly finance and planning committee approved the appointment of Susan Jemtai Koech.
Ms Koech is a former principal secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.
CBK requires two deputy governors at any given time, but has been running with one throughout the tenure of Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ms Susan Koech was named in the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal alongside former National Treasury CS Henry Rotich and PS Kamau Thugge.
She was later co-opted as a state witness in the same scandal.
