Man United are reportedly eyeing £125m swoop for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, Lille winger Nicholas Pepe alongside Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer from PSG this summer.

According to the Daily Mirror, club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to splash the cash to see Man United reclaim its position among top clubs in the EPL and beyond.

At the last count, United have been repeatedly linked with Napoli’s centre-back Koulibaly, but will have to smash a world-record fee for a defender, with the Serie A outfit demanding about £80m for the 27-year-old.

The report further revealed that United have made the Senegal international their No 1 priority as Solskjaer looks forward to rebuilding United squad.

Meanwhile, United are closing in on £45m-rated Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, who is seen as an excellent addition to the Red Devils frontline.

The Ivorian netted 21 times and provided 12 assists for the Ligue 1 campaigners which has attracted the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

The Mirror claim United are set to table £45m opening bid for his services.

The Old Trafford giants are also linked with Rabiot on a free transfer this summer.

The defensive midfielder is expected to leave this summer, but his huge £10m signing on fee and excessive wage demands could put off potential suitors.

Man United executives are expected to open talks with the Frenchman in the coming days to persuade him to move to Old Trafford.

However, the Old Trafford dwellers must offload one or two of their big hitters in order to finance the massive spree; Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez look the most likely to move on.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that ex-defender Evra gave insight on the current crisis that saw Manchester United face their worst performance in a Premier League season.

The Frenchman added that the signing of Alexis Sanchez was a big mistake that signalled the club’s ruin.

“Some people only come for the money and I am not afraid to say that,” Evra said.

“I have nothing against Alexis Sanchez but when I saw the deal that’s when I thought the Manchester United history just went down,” the former United star opined.
