TV journalist Sam Gituku weds colleague in colourful wedding

It is official Citizen TV’s news anchor Sam Gituku off the market.

The Day Break show host married his longtime girlfriend, Ivy Waitherero, who also works as a news director at the station, in a star studded ceremony on Saturday, May 25.

The colourful ceremony was attended by some of the biggest names in the media industry including his co-host Waihiga Mwaura, Mac Otani and senior reporter Joe Ageyo.

The wedding reception was held at the Nairobi Academy where tens of guests joined them.

The gorgeous bride donned a white Cinderella gown while her now husband wore a blue jacket and black fitting trousers.

Their bride’s maids wore pink dresses while the gentlemen donned black fitting pants with maroon jackets.

According to her Facebook profile, Ivy graduated from Daystar University with a degree in Communication.

Sam Gituku has been a journalist at Citizen TV since November 2014.

He was awarded the Young journalist of the year award by the Media Council of Kenya in 2014.
