Hyundai’s Ott Tanak secured second place after overcoming earlier challenges, while Thierry Neuville completed the podium in third.

Competitors from approximately 40 nations participated, amplifying the international appeal of the Safari Rally.
Speaking after the event, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano, praised the role of the Safari Rally in promoting Kenya as a prime destination for sports tourism.
“Kenya continues to shine as a global tourism hub, hosting world-class events that celebrate our sporting excellence while showcasing Kenya as a premier destination for unforgettable experiences,” she said.
Miano also highlighted the rally’s economic impact, noting the surge in demand in Naivasha where local businesses, especially hotels, reported full bookings.
“The Safari Rally has redefined sports tourism in Kenya, positioning our country as a premier destination for adventure and motorsport enthusiasts,” she remarked, adding that the event had sparked an economic boom in the region.
Reflecting on the broader impact, Miano maintained the rally’s role in fostering regional tourism, especially among neighbouring countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
She also extended an invitation to international visitors to explore Kenya further, highlighting the nation’s diverse tourism offerings.
“The Safari Rally is not just about entertainment, it is a powerful driver of growth, creating jobs, and generating foreign exchange,” Miano concluded.
