France continues to stand as one of Kenya’s major investors, making impactful contributions across various sectors of the economy.
Among these contributions, Kenya has gained significant advancements in technology transfer and capital infusion, which are geared towards uplifting local communities.
The support from France further aligns with the goals of Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, particularly in empowering citizens through the benefits derived from local tourism and the revitalized tourism circuits.
In a recent effort to strengthen this relationship, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano hosted a delegation led by His Excellency Arnaud Suquet, the French Ambassador to Kenya.
The meeting, which also saw the participation of Wildlife PS Silvia Museiya, focused on exploring additional ways to enhance mutual interests within the tourism and wildlife sectors.
“We are optimistic about the opportunities ahead, especially the possibilities for capacity building and joint ventures aimed at deploying innovative solutions for these two key areas,” CS Miano said.
The tourism and wildlife sectors in Kenya share a deep, symbiotic relationship, and the collaboration with France is set to amplify the benefits for both industries.
This collaboration not only promotes growth but also sets the stage for future breakthroughs that will empower both local communities and the broader economy.
