Egyptian startup Swvl is seeking to re-invent public transportation through the introduction of a mass transit system.
The App-based bus service will fill the gap between expensive on-demand cabs and the challenging public transport sector by offering users affordable fixed rate bus rides on predetermined routes.
The service has become a very attractive option because customers are charged about 30 to 40 per cent less compared to other mobile transport platforms.
Swvl Kenya general manager Shivachi Meleji said “We are rolling out a service that is giving users guaranteed convenience at a more affordable price,”
