M-PESA, Dashen Bank, and CashGo executives announce their partnership to enhance international remittance services in Ethiopia.

The partnership offers Ethiopians a direct way to receive funds from abroad, eliminating the need for in-person visits to financial institutions.

With money deposited instantly into M-PESA wallets, users can send money, pay bills, purchase airtime and data, or withdraw cash from agents.

Elsa Muzollini, CEO of M-PESA,  expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, emphasizing its role in driving financial accessibility.

The integration with CashGo enhances convenience by providing a fully digital platform for sending and receiving funds securely.

Dashen Bank will act as the settlement and acquiring bank, handling remittance transactions processed through CashGo’s digital platform.

According to Asfaw Alemu, CEO of Dashen Bank, this agreement reflects a strong commitment to providing innovative financial solutions tailored to customer needs.

By combining Dashen Bank’s financial infrastructure, CashGo’s remittance technology, and M-PESA’s mobile money capabilities, the service aims to expand financial access and create a reliable way for Ethiopians to receive funds from abroad.

This collaboration aligns with broader efforts to enhance Ethiopia’s digital financial ecosystem.

By leveraging technology, M-PESA continues to improve access to secure and efficient money transfer services, supporting economic growth and financial inclusion.
