– Uhuru led Kenyan delegation to the south eastern Asian state where he inked avocado exportation deal

– Prior to this, there were reports the president would table request for SGR loan

– The government clarified the SGR did not feature in their deliberations

– The Head of State jetted back with little pomp and colour has since gone unusually quiet

Kenyans have expressed concern over continued silence of President Uhuru Kenytta and him missing in action after he quietly jetted back home from Beijing, China.

Through #FindPresidentUhuru, the online community sought to know whereabouts of their beloved president who is uncharacteristically silent and out of public sight for nearly two weeks.

This is further aggravated by the fact that personal social media pages of the Head of State were wiped off the internet under unclear circumstance on Friday, March 22, thus leaving official State House handles which are currently littered with photos of the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

“The President is a Symbol of National Unity. When you can’t hear from the president especially after unauthorised access to his social media channels and a loan he went to seek was declined, that’s enough reason for alarm. Maybe depression has gotten to him,” observed Bravin.

For one political analyst and a vocal tweep Mutahi Ngunyi, Uhuru has very little regard for his subjects and was intentionally hiding from the public limelight.

“Silence annoys even the devil. Leading Kenyans is like herding needy cats. Uhuru should give them the contempt card,”he tweeted.

Uhuru led Kenyan delegation to the south eastern Asian state where he inked avocado exportation deal but was received with little excitement.

Prior to this, there were reports the president would seek another loan for the extension of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Naivasha to Kisumu.

Though the Foreign Affairs Ministry explained the SGR did not feature during the China visit, the multi-billion project remains core at the heart of every Kenyan.
