Co-operative Bank of Kenya has announced a public auction of 20 used vehicles, giving interested buyers an opportunity to place bids on a range of passenger cars and commercial units across different locations in the country.

The lender said the vehicles are available at various yards nationwide, with each unit assigned a reserve price and sold under clearly defined auction terms.
According to the notice, interested bidders are required to pay a non-refundable bidding fee of KSh 3,000 before submitting their offers through the bank’s online bidding platform.
In a notice published in the Daily Nation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the bank stated that all bids must be submitted online by Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The bank noted that bidders are allowed to place only one bid per vehicle, while additional vehicles available for sale can be viewed through the same online portal.
Prospective buyers have also been advised to physically inspect the vehicles at the designated yards, as all sales will be conducted on an “as-is, where-is” basis.
Among the vehicles listed for sale are several Nissan models such as the Note and Serena, alongside Subaru, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, and Tata units with varying reserve prices.
The lowest reserve price in the auction is KSh 420,000 for a Nissan Note, while some heavy commercial vehicles have reserve values exceeding KSh 5 million, depending on the model and condition.
Successful bidders will receive an offer letter after paying the bidding fee, confirming their provisional allocation of the vehicle.
The bank said winning bidders must settle the full bid amount in a single payment within 24 hours of receiving the offer letter to complete the transaction.
All communication related to the auction process will be handled through email on a first-come, first-served basis, as specified by each bidder during submission.
The Co-op Bank vehicle auction adds to a growing number of similar sales announced by financial institutions and government bodies seeking to dispose of used motor vehicles.
Recently, NCBA advertised an auction of 53 vehicles with prices starting from KSh 35,000, while the Ministry of Co-operatives and MOGO Limited also announced separate vehicle auctions with entry-level prices below KSh 100,000.
