Former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi has joined the list of last minute Kenyans registering for Huduma Namba.

The ex-president who ruled Kenya for 24 years enrolled for the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) on Friday, May 17, at his Kabarnet Gardens home in Nairobi.

The former president went through the formalities of the registration in the company of Information Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who is also his son.

A spot check by TUKO.co.ke, revealed many Kenyans were queuing at registration centres with the hope of getting enrolled before the deadline.

On Monday, May 13, Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i said over 31 million Kenyans have registered in the ongoing exercise and the government had no intentions of extending them mass registration deadline.

The exercise which was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday, April 2, will close by 6pm on Saturday, May 18.
