Co-operative Bank of Kenya continues to strengthen its community initiatives through educational support and county partnerships, with recent activities in Kiambu and Kisumu counties highlighting its commitment.

In Kiambu, the Co-op Bank Foundation presented an education scholarship to His Excellency Dr. Kimani Wamatangi, Governor of Kiambu County, during a handover ceremony held alongside the county’s launch of learning resources for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE).
Governor Wamatangi expressed gratitude for the Bank’s support, noting that initiatives like the scholarship program and the Bank’s 2024 donation of 300 ECDE seats are critical in creating opportunities for students from underprivileged backgrounds and building a foundation for future success.
“The Bank’s continuous engagement in education demonstrates a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation and ensuring that every child has access to learning resources,” Governor Wamatangi said.
Meanwhile, in Kisumu County, His Excellency Prof. Anyang Nyong’o, Governor of Kisumu, received a courtesy call from Co-op Bank’s Kisumu Milimani Executive Plus Centre Manager, Jerusa Oduri, accompanied by Executive Relationship Managers Job Wandwasi and Ambrose Okello.
The visit underscored Co-op Bank’s pledge to collaborate with the County Government of Kisumu in providing accessible financial services to residents, with the aim of supporting local economic growth and financial inclusion.
Through these initiatives, Co-op Bank continues to demonstrate its commitment to education, community development, and inclusive banking across Kenya.
