Centum appoints Risper Alaro as the new GFD
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Centum Investment Company PLC has
announce the appointment of Ms. Risper Alaro as the Group Finance Director effective 15th March 2022.

Risper rejoins Centum after being away on sabbatical leave. Until mid-2018, she served Centum in various leadership capacities for a period of 18 years. Risper established Centum Business Solutions Ltd and served as its first Managing Director from 2014, in which position she led the provision of business services
(including finance, tax, human resource management, technology, marketing and legal) to Centum and its wholly owned subsidiaries. Prior to this, she served Centum as Director-Finance and Operations.

Risper is a practising certified executive coach and
serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several organizations, including Bank of Kigali (BK), Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and Kenya Climate Ventures (KCV).

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in
Business Administration. In addition, she is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Certified Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a
Certified Mentor Coach.

Risper takes over the role from Mr. Wambua Kimeu, who has resigned to pursue other interests. He held the role of Group Finance Director and a Partner in Centum Capital Partners Limited, a subsidiary of Centum. Prior to serving in these
roles, Centum had seconded Wambua to its then subsidiary, Almasi Beverages Limited, where he served as Chief Finance Officer for a period of 5 years.

He added great value to Almasi Beverages Limited, which Centum as a shareholder benefited from. Wambua will be leaving the organization at the end of May 2022. As the outgoing Group Finance Director, he will remain available to work with Risper to ensure a smooth transition and handover process.

We take this opportunity to thank Wambua for his service and contribution to
Centum and we wish him every success in his future endeavours.
