ABC Bank announced that its Pesalink transfer charges have been reduced, now offering free transfers up to KSh999 and a flat fee of KSh20 for transactions between KSh1,000 and KSh999,999.
The pricing revision is part of the Tuma Direct na KSh20 campaign, an industry-wide initiative led by Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL), the operator of Pesalink, in collaboration with Kenyan banks.
Customers can access the new rates through the bank’s ABConnect mobile banking platform and its internet banking services.
Managing Director Apollo Njoroge said the reduction makes real-time bank-to-bank transfers more affordable and supports the campaign’s aim of easier direct money movement.
ABC Bank said the change fits within its broader Mach 2 roadmap, which seeks to make account-to-account payments more convenient.
The roadmap includes the upcoming PesaLink ID service that will allow users to send money using a phone number or national ID, as well as interoperable agent cash-in and cash-out services and Lipa na Bank merchant payments.
