West Kenya Sugar Company Limited has intensified the fight against the novel coronavirus – Covid-19 in their areas of operation and the larger sugar belt area, with initiatives such as fumigating market areas to public awareness campaigns.
In this spirit, yesterday West Kenya Sugar Company Limited gave donations to residents of Siaya county through the office of the Governor
Speaking at the function, West Kenya Sugar Company General Administrative Manager, Mr. Dennis Adika reaffirmed that the company is keen on helping the residents in this difficult time of the pandemic.
The donations of these hand washing units and liquid soap shall come in handy for all the residents of Siaya county as they shall be stationed at high risk areas such as open markets, bodaboda sheds and town centers.
Governor Cornel Rasanga in his part lauded efforts by West Kenya Sugar Company in the fight against Covid-19.
“…The company is doing a great job with their CSR efforts, this is clearly visible today as they provide these hand washing units and soap for our people to wash their hands frequently,” continued the governor.
In total West Kenya Sugar Company donated two hundred liters of liquid soap and fifteen hand washing units with 100-liter capacity, to help in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
