The Kenya Universities Students Organization (KUSO) has said that plans are underway to ensure that students locked in the counties that cessation of movement has been imposed are transfered.
This comes following the presidential directive to close down tertiary institutions as a way of reducing the spread of the 3rd wave of the deadly Coronavirus Pandemic.
Antony Manyara the President of KUSO confirmed that the leadership will aid in helping students who might be locked out from accessing their homes from areas with restrictions.
“The Kenya Universities Students Organization (KUSO) has resolved to call upon all comrades to leave all Institutions’ premises as per the President’s directives effective Saturday 26th March 2021 or at a date advised by their respective institutions,” said Manyara.
He however maintained that learning in the tertiary institutions will continue to virtually.
“This is not halting learning but just a close on physical (Face to Face) learning. Online learning continues uninterrupted until further notice.”
