President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga are among leaders who have sent their condolence messages to the family and friends of Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori who died on Monday morning.
The family confirmed the passing on of the youthful MP on Monday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa.
Reports indicate that he passed on at around 5 am at the hospital where he has been receiving treatment for cancer.
His body has been moved from the hospital to his rural home in Ghazi, Kwale County for burial this afternoon.
Dori was elected on an ODM ticket but has been missing in the public limelight in the past few months.
In his message, Mr Odinga wished the family comfort as they face this difficult moment.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to the people of Msambweni and family of Ramadhani Suleiman Dori who has passed on this morning. May the Lord grant his family comfort at this difficult moment and may his soul Rest In Eternal Peace,” Odinga said in a message posted on his social media accounts.
A statement from State House Communication team also confirmed that President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family, friends and the people of Msambweni Constituency. In his message of comfort, the President described the fallen legislator as an astute politician who served his constituents with utmost commitment.
Deputy President William Ruto described the late as a progressive figure who tirelessly championed for the empowerment of the people of Msambweni.
“He was hardworking, focussed, fearless, with an inextinguishable love for everyone,”
