Three of TV 47s programmes have made it to the shortlist of Kenyas Most watched TV shows.
The insights were revealed in a new market research done by One Pulse Limited, a local arm of One Pulse UK, which undertakes research for global brands.
According to the research, the Cape Media-owned station’s prime time news, soap operas Destiny and So Much Love and weekend entertainment show Bomba la Sanaa are among the most-watched programs in Kenya.
The station’s breakfast show Morning Cafe and Garden of Eden, which focuses on love and relationships, are also among the country’s most popular shows. The survey further indicated that the station’s viewers are mostly based in Nairobi, Kisumu, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Nyeri, Kiambu, Nakuru, Machakos, Mombasa and Embu counties.
The station’s Garden of Eden show which airs on Wednesday from 10 pm is popular with 21-24-year-olds.
The Morning Cafe and soap operas Destiny and So Much Love are mostly watched by 18-20-year-olds. Destiny is the top show for the 25-34 age bracket. Interestingly, the soap opera So Much Love, with themes of love and murder, is most popular in Kisumu.
