Triply, a Nairobi-based travel technology firm founded in 2021, now serves more than 500 travel businesses across six African markets.
The platform replaces fragmented spreadsheets, messaging apps and separate booking and payment tools with a single system that offers quotations, AI-powered itinerary building, a customised sales hub, flight and hotel booking, payment collection, wallets, supplier payments and operational oversight.
CEO Peter Wachira said “Running a travel business involves much more than taking a booking. Operators need to prepare quotes, secure flights and accommodation, manage customers and move money reliably, often across borders. We built Triply to make those processes work together so businesses can spend less time switching between systems and more time serving traveller’s.”
In May 2026 Triply partnered with Choice Microfinance Bank to provide banking services and payment infrastructure that support customer collections, transaction visibility and supplier settlements for agencies using the platform.
The partnership enabled Virtue Explorers to cut lead drop-off by 40 per cent, accelerate turnaround times and lower international payment costs by more than 50 per cent through the use of virtual cards.
Triply’s payment-security technology also protected US$8,000 belonging to Tulivu Holidays from potential chargeback losses.
In August 2026 the company worked with the Kenya Association of Travel Agents to train agents on the Coast in using its digital tools for daily operations and customer service.
Triply’s achievements have been recognised with the Best Innovation Using Technology award at the Pyne Awards Africa 2026, the Tourism category win at the Africa Sustainable Futures Awards 2025 and inclusion among The Africa Report’s 20 Champions of African Tech in 2024.
Wachira added “The recognition we have received is encouraging, but what matters most is whether this technology makes a real difference to the businesses using it. We see a major opportunity to help African travel companies operate with greater confidence, efficiency and room to grow.”
The company says its integrated solution aims to give agencies a clearer view of their businesses, reduce reliance on multiple tools and make digital transformation practical for operators serving travellers across Africa.
