Following the government directive to open the country’s economy after lifting the dusk to dawn curfew the Kenya Primary Schools Head Teachers Association [KEPSHA] will hold its 16th annual delegates conference at the traditional venue at Sheikh Zayed grounds in Mombasa county.
KEPSHA national chairman Johnson Nzioka announced the four day event will be held from December 27 to December 30.
He said the date of the event was reached during a meeting held at the association’s headquarters in Nairobi.
“We are currently working on the tentative program which will cover the four day event which we expect to release soonest,” he pointed out.
Nzioka said the event’s theme is head teachers, leading in crisis reimaging the future.
He confirmed on telephone the event will take place during the holiday festivities after the government put effective measures to contain the spread of the global outbreak of the COVID 19.
The association’s national chairman promised to issue more details but assured the government the four day forum will be held under the health protocol guidelines.
Nzioka said in his telephone conversation they will ensure those who will attend abide to the health ministry’s guidelines and measures to contain the spread of the pandemic.
The association held its last annual delegates conference in 2019 which was its 15th forum under then KEPSHA National Chairman Nicholas Gathemia before the outbreak of the deadly disease. It was officially opened by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha at the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA) in Nyali constituency, Mombasa County.
This year’s event will be under the stewardship of Nzioka who was the vice chairman when Gathemia was chairman during the last forum.
