In her lengthy Judgment delivered sat the Kibera Law Court Senior Magistrate Elizabeth Juma acquitted Henry Muriithi Mvungu and Nahashon Ngare Kabungua.
The accused were arrested on 19th January 2012 and freed on a police bond where on 24th November 2014 the two were charged at the Kibera Law courts with three counts of Forgery, making a document without lawful authority and altering false document.
The two pleaded not guilty and were released on bond where they started the long journey of court trial for six good years. In her Judgment Senior Magistrate Elizabeth Juma acquitted the two on grounds that the State Prosecution presented a weak case and evidence produced before the trial court was insufficient to warrant the conviction of the two.
The accused through their officer of the court, orally submitted a brief application seeking for the refund of their cash bail and the Court immediately granted their application, issuing an order for cash bail refund.
