Sun King announced that its PowerHub solar inverter line in Kenya now includes units with a maximum capacity of 30 kW.
The revised range covers inverter sizes from 2.2 kW up to 30 kW and can be linked together, enabling several units to function as a single larger system.
The company says the new models are intended for households, shops, businesses, schools, hospitals, offices and light-industrial users, and can run equipment such as water pumps, washing machines, microwaves and air-conditioners.
Atta Arome, Product Head for Solar Inverter Systems at Sun King, said: "The latest additions to our PowerHub range take us into new territory. We can now serve homes, shops, businesses, schools, hospitals, and offices of virtually any size."
Catherine Mudachi, Vice President of Marketing at Sun King, noted that the pay-as-you-go scheme starts at KSh15,500 per month with a KSh22,600 down payment, allowing customers to expand battery storage or solar panels without replacing the inverter.
Sun King, which has operated in Kenya since 2007, distributes the PowerHub units through its agent network and provides installation and after-sales support.
Mudachi added: "Millions of customers across Africa know they can trust Sun King to help them make the move to solar."
The firm claims its products reach one in five Kenyans and that more than 330,000 Sun King solar units are installed each month across Africa, positioning the company to serve a higher-value segment of the distributed-energy market.
