Seven merchant vessels are scheduled to call at the Port of Mombasa during the week of October 20, 2026, according to a shipping schedule issued by the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA). The arrivals comprise tankers loaded with petroleum products, base oil and palm oil intended for the Kenyan market and neighbouring supply chains.

The M.T. Bellatrix, a medium-range oil and chemical products tanker, will unload just over 21,000 metric tonnes of Shell V-Power petrol at the Shimanzi Oil Terminal. The cargo is destined for Vivo Energy Kenya, the importer and distributor of Shell-branded fuels in the country.

Following discharge, Vivo Energy Kenya will keep the fuel at its Mombasa terminal before transporting it inland to its network of more than 350 service stations. The company also employs Kenya Railways Corporation tankers to move the product from Shimanzi to Nairobi.

The schedule also lists the M.T. Bow Lynx as carrying 4,900 metric tonnes of base oil for discharge at Shimanzi. At Kipevu Oil Terminal II, the M.T. Torm Sublime is slated to unload 85,000 metric tonnes of diesel, while the M.T. Maria will discharge 40,000 metric tonnes of the same fuel.

The M.T. Pis Rinjani is set to deliver an additional 85,000 metric tonnes of motor gasoline. The remaining vessels, M.T. Arctic Tern and M.T. Melati 3, are expected to off-load palm oil cargoes at the port.

The series of shipments highlights Mombasa’s role as a hub for imported petroleum and other commodities that support Kenya’s domestic consumption and regional distribution networks. Shell V-Power is marketed as a premium petrol formulated to clean engine components and protect against deposits and corrosion.
