Telecommunication firm Safaricom has introduced a new feature that alerts a user on its Mpesa money transfer service platform on what amounts they can transfer.
This happens each time money is transferred through the platform.
With the new SMS feature, a user will know the cash they can still transact before the daily KSh 300,000 limit runs out.
This latest built-in function on the Mpesa platform follows a series of new features that have been added onto the now upgraded money transfer service in a series of maintenance episodes in recent weeks.
The firm began by allowing businesses to transact directly from their Mpesa business tills. In June, Safaricom launched a business App that allows businesses to withdraw money from their mobile phones and bank accounts at agents locations.
The App allows a business to send money to customers, suppliers and pay salaries directly.
