Rainfall in Central region and Nairobi area set to continue

The rainfall being experienced in the Central region including Nairobi area is set to continue until Tuesday next week.

According to the Deputy Director in charge Meteorological Applications, Ayub Shaka, the rainfall is expected in the morning and afternoon.

He noted that according to satellite pictures, the Mt. Kenya region and especially the Embu region received slightly heavier rainfall.

In an interview, Shaka said the Lake Basin region, the western Kenya region and the coastal strip is also set to continue receiving the rainfall until next week.

The Weatherman says, the coming weeks will see a drop in the temperatures to cooler weather due to the cloud cover that has increased in the recent days.

Two people from Malikini village in Mbeere South sub-county, in Embu County drowned in a boat accident in Masinga dam. The two men are said to have been travelling from Yatta sub-county in Machakos County to Kasioni area in Mbeere South sub-county when their boat capsized at around 9pm last night.
