The presenter said he did not address the matter when it exploded because he knew he was not guilty of the said ”atrocities”.
The well-dressed news anchor sensationally claimed he has no plans to get married in his life, a move that clearly irked thousands of women who were hopeful they could land in his home as ‘le wifey’.
This Njoka made clear in a recent media interview with Sarah Ibrahim.
“To all the people who have been asking, yes I am a bachelor and I am a proud bachelor. And I would love and I would like and I am planning to stick to the bachelor side for the rest of my life,” he revealed.
The journalist also used the opportunity to come clean and refute claims he is homosexual.
As reported by a section of the Kenyan media earlier, the lad was said to be gay, claims that tarnished his reputation, although he did not address the issue then.
According to Njoka, he is not gay just, that one of his friends wanted to blackmail him with the gay rumours.
Njoka said the friend in conjunction with others created a fake Facebook account and made fake photos depicting him in bad light.
”In 2016 some guy just decided to get some money from this guy who looks like he is so moneyed. So what does he do? He collaborates with a friend and colleague in one of the universities here, forms a profile and gets all my pictures and gets a picture of the penis or something, shares with friends and then calls me and promised to leak the information (if I don’t pay).
I said whatever, do what you gotta do. I thought he was playing with me. It is a person I have never met or interacted with, he sounded really old, sounded so Somali and he was so confident about it. He said that if I didn’t give him KSh 60,000 he would expose me,” he saidLoading...
The news anchor added he did not address the matter when it exploded because he knew he was not guilty of the said ”atrocities”.
”I never told anybody about this because there was nothing to tell. I never shied away from it because there was nothing to be afraid of because at the end of the day that was not me.
And my career was never to be destroyed by that weak person who thought that one Eric Njoka will fall. He has not fallen,” Eric said.
