NCBA Bank organised wealth masterclass events in Kisumu and Kakamega aimed at professionals such as lawyers and doctors.
The Kisumu session targeted members of the legal fraternity, while the Kakamega forum brought together lawyers and doctors.
NCBA specialists used the forums to discuss wealth creation, investment, property ownership and long-term financial planning.
Participants were urged to move beyond earning income to building sustainable wealth, protecting assets and planning for families and future generations.
The bank noted that professionals often balance demanding careers, business interests, family duties and long-term financial commitments.
As priorities evolve, decisions about investing surplus income, generating additional streams, acquiring property, expanding practices and safeguarding assets become increasingly important.
Dennis Njau, Group Director, Retail Banking at NCBA, said "Professional success should create more than income." He added that it should also generate opportunity, security and a lasting legacy.
He noted that lawyers and doctors have diverse financial responsibilities, from growing practices and investing in property to protecting families and planning, and that the bank aims to understand these ambitions and link customers to suitable solutions.
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics’ 2024 County Statistical Abstract reported that Kakamega’s Gross County Product was about KSh291.8 billion in 2023, with real-estate activity contributing KSh18.8 billion and construction KSh5.2 billion.
A 2022 housing market report by the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company estimated that 42.2 per cent of households in Kisumu were renting, implying home-ownership of roughly 57.8 per cent.
NCBA’s proposition for professionals combines retail banking, wealth management, investment solutions, property finance and bancassurance.
Offerings highlighted include Property Duka, Easy Build, investment and wealth advisory services, insurance and protection solutions and Retail Solar Leasing.
The bank said the integrated approach enables customers to explore solutions aligned with their circumstances, whether building an investment portfolio, acquiring residential or commercial property, developing land, protecting assets or planning for the future.
Njau said "Through our purpose of Banking on Belief, Empowering Ambition, we are committed to evolving alongside our customers." He added that the bank wants professionals across Western Kenya to view NCBA as a partner as their ambitions grow.
NCBA continues to focus on relationship-led banking and integrated financial solutions to help customers translate professional success into lasting financial wellbeing.
