Court proceedings at the Milimani Law Courts Nairobi were today halted for over two hours due to a power outage.
The blackout which occured at 9:15am left litigants and lawyers making submissions stranded as they standwithin the corridors, while prison officers using phone spot lights to enhance security of the accused in remand further awaiting for directions.
Some of the anticorruption courts which are naturally well lit were however still cobducting proceedings.
It is said that the blackout was occasioned by a faulty transformer.
