M-PESA, the money maker for Safaricom PLC has a new logo.
The logo is in honor of Olympic Champion Eliud Kipchoge who is competing against his record.
In the Ineos159 challenge, Kipchoge who is also a world record holder intends to ran a marathon in under 2 hours.
Safaricom PLC will retain the logo for the next 7 days.
Safaricom will also give free YouTube bundles for clients to stream live Kipchoge’s attempt.

M-PESA whose revenue grew by 19.2 percent to Sh 74.99 billion in the last financial year has had a good run since it was launched in 2008.
In its Financial Year ended March 2019, Safaricom announced that 30-day active M-PESA customers increased 10.2 percent to 22.6 million.
Safaricom’s net profit grew by 14.7 percent to Sh63.4 billion on strong M-Pesa and mobile data performance, marking the seventh straight year of increasing bottom-line in FY ended March 2019.
