The Kenya Pharmaceutical Association (KPA) central council has suspended its National Secretary General Mr Peter Atandi Mogere and its Chairman Mr Patrick Adera Oduor.
The two are said to have been suspended due to corruption, theft, impersonation, forgery, abuse of office and incompetence.
The letter of suspension which was seen by Kenyanbusinessfeed.com the matter of criminal activities will be taken up by the Director of Criminal Investigations against the two.
On Peter Atandi Mogere, the letter stated
The Central Council will Institute disciplinary action against you Mr Peter Atandi Mogere, through the KPA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, The Pharmacy and Poisons Board Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and/or criminal charges through the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations for any criminal charges involving the KPA SACCO, KPA National CPD • PPS portal payment receipts forgery, and any other criminal charge.
On Patrick Adera Oduor, the letter stated
That the Central Council will institute disciplinary action against you Mr. Patrick Adera Oduor, through the KPA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, and The Pharmacy and Poisons Board Ethics and Disciplinary Committee and/or criminal charges through the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations for any criminal charges.
The KPA is a professional association that was formed to secure the unity of Pharmaceutical Technologists in Kenya. Registered in 1974.
Both Mr Mogere and Adera are barred from transacting on behalf of KPA and any engagements, correspondences, transactions and contracts, entered through you forthwith will remain null and void, the leter stated.
The Deputy National Secretary General will now act as the National Secretary General whereas the National Chairman’s office will be temporarily taken by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association, both pending the resolution and ratification of the AGM.
