Four Easter Kenya counties have formed an economic bloc that intends to spur growth and development in the four Mt Kenya East political bloc.
The counties are Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Meru County.
Led by Kirinyaga County Governor Ann Waiguru the bloc was in agreement that each of the counties should identify a mega project that will be supported by all the Mt Kenya East counties.
On the other hand Meru County will be allowed to come with its own Project owing to the fact that it is big in terms of land mass and population and can support the project on its own.
Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza also noted that the Unity and advice from the three governors helped solve the standoff that affected Meru county adding that she was on a development marathon.
