Dan Kwach has rejoined Africa Data Centres (ADC) and will serve as Executive for AI Data Centres, a role announced on LinkedIn.

Kwach, who previously held the position of Eastern Africa Executive at ADC and spent a brief period as Deputy CEO of StellarIX in Madagascar, said he was “happy to be back home” and will work with the Cassava Technologies AI team under ADC.

In his statement, Kwach said the new role will focus on building and operating data centre infrastructure that can meet the higher computing, power and cooling demands of artificial intelligence workloads.

He added that Africa must secure a seat at the global AI discussion table rather than be relegated to the menu, and that technology development should align with the continent’s socioeconomic priorities such as enterprise growth, sustainability, security, resilience, trade, job creation and productivity.

Kwach’s return follows his departure from ADC after a 19-year career, during which he served as Managing Director for the East Africa region and contributed to the growth of the digital infrastructure ecosystem.
