A spot check on social media points to a worried lot who are increasingly getting on edge about the government’s handling of issues concerning the coronavirus pandemic.
Today, the Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mr Mutahi Kagwe has announced that 9 more people have tested positive for the coronavirus bringing the total to 25 people.
Worldwide, the pandemic has affected more than 380,000, there’s are over 250,000 active cases, of which 16,000 are critical.
Though the number of those who have recovered surpassed 100,000 yesterday, the death toll as at now stands at over 16000 and rising.
Yesterday, media reports indicated that some people who were picked from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to be quarantined were asked to part with more than 10,000 per day for 14 days. Some refused, the news leaked and created a lot of noise on social media.
Here are some tweets we sampled from Kenyans about their opinion on the Government of Kenya handling of the crisis.

It doesn't even require the tiniest mental effort to understand that Kenya needs a total lockdown immediately. I wonder what kind of leadership we have in this country. The next 14 days gonna be hard, thanks to the president and his deputy. Brace yourself y'all. #LockDownKenya
