The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has reduced the CBK rate to 7.25 per cent down from 8.25 per cent.
The financial industry regulator has also reduced the Cash Reserve Ratio to 4.25% from 5.25%, releasing an additional liquidity of Sh35.2 billion to banks for supporting COVID-19 distressed borrowers.
