Apple’s next flagship lineups will have get a re-design borrowing cues from the latest iPads. Sources say the new iPhones will also get 5G capabilities, Apple will also unveil two key new accessories.
Apple’s 2020 successors to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be joined by two lower-end models to replace the iPhone 11, of these at least two high-end devices will have flat stainless steel edges instead of the current curved design as well as more sharply rounded corners taking from the iPad Pro introduced in 2018.
Another features taken from the iPad pro will be the addition of the 3-D LIDAR system to the upcoming iPhone Pro models. The phones will include three cameras on the back while the lower-end phones will continue to have two cameras, as with the current lineup.
The new handsets will have flat screens rather than the sloping edges on current models.
The sources also say that Apple will add a 3D camera to the iPhone and is aiming to reduce the size of the notch at the top of the screen that houses the TrueDepth camera.
Apple has also been developing a smaller and cheaper version of its HomePod speaker, to be released as early as this year
