President Uhuru Kenyattta has on Monday announced that after testing 441 samples in the last 24 hours, 16 people have confirmed positive bring the total to 158.
Ten cases are close, with 4 recoveries and 6 deaths.
So far 4,277 tests have been confirmed.
The president has reiterated the message of his health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe, that Kenyans should wear masks in public places.
The President also announced a lockdown of Nairobi Metropolitan Service areas (Parts of Kiambu, Machaos and Kajiado counties) for 21 days effective 7 pm tonight. Lockdown of Kilifi, Kwale and Mombasa counties to start on Wednesday same time.

The worldwide cases have surpased 1.2 million, with active cases standing at over 944,000 of which 898,706 are in mild condition whereas over 46,000 are critical.
The deaths from the virus have surpassed 70,000 as at this time (1528HRS Kenyan time)
